Parish Update -- March 14 (Pi Day) - More COVID-19 updates
Dear Parishioners of St. Joseph:
I just wanted to share a few more important things:
1. Additional Dispensation -- Today, Bishop Kopacz has offered a dispensation for ALL Catholics in the Diocese of Jackson from the obligation to attend Sunday Mass. I would recommend that our parishioners (60-65 and older) and those who have some health risks to please take advantage of the dispensation. This does not mean Mass is cancelled, we will still be there. Daily Mass and confession will continue throughout the week.
2. Penance Services Suspended -- Our Penance Service on March 26 has also been cancelled.
3.
Collection -- We have been asked to suspend the "passing of the basket" at Mass. We will leave a basket in the gathering space where two ushers will be able to keep an eye on it. Please keep us in mind as you exit the church. Here is the link to our online giving platform where you can continue to give to our parish:

4. Sunday evening Mass -- We will still have the Sunday evening Mass in order to spread people out. If this isn't your normal Mass, it might be good to think about attending this one, as there will probably be less people too.
5. Communication -- If you know of anyone who does not receive these emails or facebook posts, please give them a call and let them know what's going on.
Peace,
Fr. Jason
